I am a freelance science writer based in Louisville, Kentucky. I have published pieces on global health, technology, and the environment for The Borgen Project. I was awarded funds from the American Heart Association to cover the latest news in cardiovascular research. I have also written many science education articles for Study.com, and I regularly contribute to The Turner Syndrome Foundation and Montessori By Mom blogs.

I have a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from the University of Louisville. I also have experience in post-doctoral biomedical research and teaching biology and chemistry. Additionally, I am a member of the Solutions Journalism Network and the National Association of Science Writers and attended ScienceWriters2023 in Boulder, Colorado.
